Pipe Patch Repairs
Pipe patch repairs are a cost-effective way of fixing isolated breaks, cracks, or ingressions in pipe work. Pipe patch repairs offer a long-lasting solution to issues that may have otherwise required excavation. By utilising specialist technology and equipment, a patch can be accurately aligned to cover the damaged area of the pipe and then set in place to seal and cover any issues the old pipework may have had. Pipe patches can be used in all material types of pipes and can even work around bends in pipe work. Pipe patches can, however, only be used in isolated areas of the damaged pipe, so it is always best to conduct a free survey to ensure a pipe patch is the best route for your drainage.

No Excavation Required
Pipe patch repairs can be carried out without the need to excavate your garden, patio, conservatory or even under your property.
Cost Effective
The cost of plant, labour and materials used in excavation can drastically inflate the cost of pipe repairs. Patching does not require as much labour and utilises minimal plant, allowing us to offer a more competitive quote.
Fast and Effective
Pipe patch repairs can be carried out in half the time it would take to excavate the same area. Meaning lower costs, less disruption and good value for money.
How Do Pipe Patches Work?
A pipe patch repair uses a device called a packer. This packer is wrapped with a glass-fibre sleeve, coated with a special epoxy resin, and carefully guided down the pipe work until it reaches the affected area. The packer is carefully aligned to the correct point in the pipe by using a CCTV camera. Once the sleeve is in the correct place, the packer is inflated to the diameter of the pipe. This then binds to the interior of the existing pipe and after 2 hours the sleeve has sealed to the pipe interior and the packer can be carefully removed. If there are multiple sleeves being used, this process in continued until all the required sleeves have been sealed.
To ensure the process has been successful, we carry out a CCTV drain survey, where our CCTV camera is placed down the pipe work to check the seal has applied well. We then run water down the pipe to ensure there are no blockages and that the patch has been successfully applied.
